November was once again a busy month. We started with going to Ehren's 10 year celebration held by Qualcomm. The awards were held at the Flagstaff House-a steakhouse part way up the mountain overlooking Boulder. It has a great menu and better yet...an amazing view! Hard to believe he's been with Qualcomm 10 years now! Ehren was also in San Diego on business for a week early in the month. This kept Janelle hopping with the kids. Time flew by and we all managed.
Thanksgiving was early this year and we spent it at Deana and Jay's. This is the first time in 10 years that we haven't cooked a turkey at our house! With all the extra time on our hands we decided to start putting up Christmas decorations. The kids loved it, and we've got a few more weeks to enjoy them before Evan starts crawling and tearing stuff off the tree! :-)
Not much else to report. We're heading to Shellbrook for Christmas this year and will be home for the New Year. We hope you all have a great Christmas and Holiday Season and we'll send out another update in the New Year!!

October 2007
Well, September was a very busy month with company and travel. Janelle and the kids headed to High River for two weeks with Lana & Isabelle. Ehren followed after returning from San Diego on business. The trip of two adults to 4 kids went well. People were amazing in the airport offering to help left and right. Some even gave us compliments on the fact that we were traveling with 4 kids of such young ages (or maybe they thought we were losing our minds!) :-) In all, the air travel went great. We also had a nice time in High River and Calgary. We saw several family members and friends, and even met a new nephew while we were up there. Janelle & Ehren managed to get in some golf and Ehren even went biking with Blain. The weather was amazing and we hit it just right as it got much cooler after we left.
Once we were back in Longmont we were back into our busy schedule. School, swimming, music, spanish for Emily will be starting, and more company...Lana & Isabelle came back a week after us. Ehren has been back into his sports and had yet another trip to San Diego. Janelle's been biking and running. Interestingly enough...Deana purchased a road bike, so the sisters have been eating up the road together! Janelle has also started working once a week at the Cancer Center. So far it's going well and the kids are doing well with their sitter that comes in. It's hardest for Evan as he's not used to not seeing his Mom's face around all day. He'll get used to it!
The hardest part of the month was when Lana & Isabelle had to say their good bye's and head back to Dubai. We got used to having them around, and after 7 weeks of seeing this side of the world, they had to head home. We saw Isabelle come as a baby and leave as a toddler. Her poor father will see such a change in the little sweetheart. She went from crawling and baby food to walking and eating by herself...and more teeth to boot! Isabelle will be turning one in a couple weeks, so we had a surprise birthday party here with a big chocolate cake. The pics are great on the website of her trying to eat it! She'll be having a birthday party once she's back in Dubai. I'm sure Lana is happy to be back in her own home with her hubby, but we miss them around here. Hopefully we'll see them again next summer as there's talk of a family reunion on Janelle's Mom's side.

November 2007
October has been a busy month for us. Ehren and Janelle have continued to bike...in fact Ehren nearly killed Janelle from exhaustion on one ride they did together! We made it and will do it again I'm sure! It was nice to get out together...sure is handy having a sitter next door!
Ehren's started up with hockey again, and Janelle has also played a bit. She started subbing periodically with a women's team. They play a couple times a month and travel around the area...Breckenridge, Colorado Springs, Vail, Steamboat, Denver, etc. We'll see how many games she can actually make...but for now it's enough, and she gets the chance to play with Deana too. Golf is still on the agenda but is less frequent now as it's cooled off a bit. Janelle also continues to work once a week at the Cancer Center.
Along with taking the kids swimming and to the pumpkin patch, the other event this month was the arrival of Blair & Darlene. They're on their way down to PV for the winter and had a stop-over. We had a nice time with them and they watched the kids a couple days while Janelle worked. A little tennis was played and Ehren, Jay, and Blair took in a hockey game. Before they left we celebrated Ehren's birthday...wow, the years are slipping by! :-)
We have a couple birthday parties to go to in November, and then we're planning on having Thanksgiving at Deana and Jay's this year. Lastly, we'd like to send our thoughts and prayers to all our friends in the San Diego area that were touched by the fires. We were, and still are thinking of you...

September 2007
Well, August was a busy month. We had Blair and Darlene leave and Elaine arrive. Much fun was had and we got the kids to the Denver aquarium a couple of times. We also made a trip to the mountains to Estes Park where we attended a wedding in Allenspark. The kids had a blast as did we, and we enjoyed the time "away".
At the end of the month we were excited to have Lana and Isabelle arrive from Dubai. We hadn't seen them since Christmas so it was really nice to catch up with them again. Isabelle had a great time with the kids, and continues to practice her walking. We anticipate a busy month next month as we're planning to head to High River, AB for a couple weeks. Lots of fun!

August 2007
July started with a bang of celebrations for us. We attended Canada Day and 4th of July celebrations. There were lots of fireworks and in our community, people were setting them off almost a week in advance! We had a great time and managed to beat the heat at both of them. Later in the month Qualcomm had their annual summer picnic at Heritage Park near Golden. Ehren took the girls and had a great time. Evan and Janelle stayed home as it was too hot for him to be out in the heat (and not able to benefit from any of the fun).
We've been busy keeping up with the kids and keeping up with ourselves. Ehren continues with his activities. Janelle has been spinning at the local rec center once a week as well as running and keeping up on the elliptical. Most recently we did aquire another bike! Janelle's now part of the bike scene! The first ride was successful. We took advantage of having Blair & Darlene here and we managed to get out for a bike ride together while they watched the kids. What a great way to have a first bike ride...and her first one in 10 years!! We went about 58km in about 2 hours and Janelle only had one fall...at a stand still. Those darn clips got her!!:-) There's a few girls around here for her to bike with but we're also working on Deana...maybe she'll get a bike too. Bonus for Janelle this month...she even got out for a couple rounds of golf!
Red & Dar arrived the last week of July while on their way back from their "cross Canada trip". It was great to see them again and we enjoyed the visit as usual. At the end of the month we had a big dinner at D & Jay's for Janelle's birthday which was quite nice...more than enough ribs and shrimp for everyone! We're awaiting the arrival of Elaine. It's the first time she's visited us since we left California...we'll see what she thinks!

July 2007
First of all...I'd like to say these web updates are taking more and more work with 3 kids!
June has been a month for"us" as a family. We started it off with our 9 year anniversary in which yes, we actually went out for dinner! Deana & Jay babysat all three kids for us and we snuck out for a bit. Quite a treat I'd say, and pretty good considering Evan was still so young! Our weekends are usually busy with biking, gym, getting stuff done around the house, and entertaining. We're really enjoying having our yard since it's been finished, and use it to it's fullest. The kids have a blast and it's so nice to have the afternoon shade, as we've had a blistering hot June. In all, we're just really enjoying the kids and trying to take in every moment. Having Evan has made us realize how quick they grow up.
Ehren's enjoying work, and all his extra-curricular activities (don't suppose we've mentioned before...golf, hockey, biking, running, golf, biking) :-). He helps out a lot with the kids, as he does the weekend gym, and even manages to come watch the girls swim during the week. Janelle continues to run and use the elliptical. She's hoping to find a hockey team for the fall season and may start taking some classes at the rec center here in Longmont. Hopefully this fall will bring her a new bike so we'll have another "cyclist" in the family!
One hi-light of the month was taking the kids to the outdoor movies. We went to Curious George as Longmont has outdoor movies once a week. One of Ehren's co-workers plays in a band, and they played before the movie. We made it an evening. We went and listened to the band before we settled down for popcorn and a movie. Some may say "pretty pathetic hi-light", but it was fun to see the kids reaction to seeing a movie like this. We have a big TV, but nothing like this! :-) Jaelynn's never even been to a theater, not to mention it's been years since we've even been to a drive-in. It was an exciting and inexpensive outing!
Saturday we spent doing "girly" things. The girls had gym, then we took them to get their ears pierced. Emily wanted them done so of course, so did Jaelynn. We took them to a neat kids salon where they pierced both ears at the same time. Both girls did great, and came out with smiles on their face. Dad was more stressed than either of them! :-) We have pictures on the site for you to check out!
We're expecting a visit from Blair & Darlene this month. They're doing a "cross Canada" RV trip and will be returning via the US. They plan on making a "slight detour" to visit before they head back up to Canada. Other than that...Happy Canada Day and to those of you Americans...Happy 4th! Our family is now more American than Canadian (ouch, did I just publish that?)! Evan's missing his Canadian citizenship, and we all have American. Ehren & Janelle waited quite a few years to gain that privelege! Hope you all have a good one! We'll be celebrating at friends' bbq's for both so hope you all have a good one too!

June 2007
Well, May was a busy month. We're really enjoying our backyard being finished. You can see some of those photos on our latest picture update. The kids use it almost daily, and it's secured, so there's not big worry about running into the streets, etc. We now have to wait for the summer to go on so all our plants can grow and mature. Could take a while as there's alot of plants to grow!!
Our family has adapted well to being a family of 5 instead of 4. Evan is such a wonderful addition and it makes you realize how quick they grow. It seems like just a few months ago Emily was that size...and now she'll be starting school in a year! We had Evan baptized on the long weekend while we had the Johnson's visiting. It was nice to have them part of the occasion and to catch up "just like old times"!
Ehren has been busy with biking, golfing, hockey, running, oh yeah, did we say biking and golfing? :-) Janelle has yet to get out for a round of golf but that should come yet. For now she's been running and is looking for a hockey team to start playing on. Ehren's part of a league at work so it "requires" him to golf on certain days. Ha! He just obtained a new set of clubs so there's some high expectations now!! Speaking of running, Ehren took part in the Bolder Boulder run the end of May. It's a huge event that brings in runners from all over the world...pro and amateur. He had a great run and looks forward to doing it again next year.
Other than running around after our kids and enjoying our yard, there's not time for anything else! We plan on a quiet June, and then hopefully will have Blair & Dar for a short stay in July.

May 2007
April started us off on pins and needles. We made it through birthday parties and now wondered when baby #3 would arrive. Just like on cue...labor started friday night after a busy week and some great Mexican food (good 'ol Cho Cho's)! We headed into the weekend with the excitement of knowing we'd have a baby! Labor started just after midnight, and Deana got to our house just after 1 a.m. After 5 1/2 hrs of labor and a very easy delivery, we welcomed our baby boy-Evan. More info on him on his site. Mom and baby did well and we celebrated Easter sunday by bringing our son home. We have all done well, and Janelle has managed to get back into her usual routine, and Evan continues to be a great baby. We had Blair & Darlene her for two weeks helping out, and then Ehren took his paternity leave for the week after they left. We had some good quality time as a family which was quite nice.
Another exciting event for us is that our landscaping has been finished! It took a bit longer than expected due to some weather delays, but it managed to get finished. We're very happy with the finished product. We'll get pictures up eventually. The girls are also quite excited that they now have a play area, and more room to run outside!
Ehren will be starting up with hockey again after having the month off. He also continues to run and bike on a regular basis, and has also been getting in some golf lately. Mmm, is that too much spare time? :-)
We'll see what May brings. We're excited for the Johnson's to visit from San Diego on the long weekend!

April 2007
Well, March was spent with birthdays, last minute appointments, and getting ready for the new addition! We were busy getting through the girls birthday parties...hoping that #3 would hold off until then. Things managed to work out and we had a couple successful birthday parties and two very happy birthday girls.
Janelle's been feeling well and seeing her Obstetrician regularly over the last month. We had two ultrasounds in March to check the babies weight and amniotic fluid levels. Everything appears to be doing well and things look to be "on schedule"...whatever that refers to. :-) We're all excited for our new bundle to arrive and are expecting, once again, that Blair and Darlene will be here around the time of the birth. Their yearly trek from Mexico to Canada will be starting soon and they should be in the area around the BirthDay. Deana & Jay are also on call for any "earlier" deliveries, and we've had several close friends offer their help as well. We really have met a lot of great people here!
Lastly, we've decided on our landscaper...one less thing to have to deal with now. Landscaping will be starting early April which should put it at completion by the middle to end of April (weather permitting of course). We're excited to have a finished yard, as are the kids. Some of those pitures will be on our next update! That's it for now. Keep an eye out for an update on baby #3's link in the first half of April. We'll be doing that as soon as he/she arrives, and the expected date is April 11th!

I suck at blogs
It's been months. I've thought about it many times and just can't get the priority up there. Maybe I'll start trying again....

March 2007
February just flew by-where did the time go? The girls made out well while Ehren was in San Diego on business. We carried on with our normal activities which kept us quite busy. Janelle also picked up a four week class in cake decorating, the first of which she took two years ago. It was quite an interesting class learning techniques that she's been wanting to learn for quite a while.
Mid February brought Blain, Grace, & Faith. We finally got to meet her! This was their first bit of real traveling with her and she did great. We were all happy to see them and the girls enjoyed having more family around. Ehren & Blain went to the mountains one day to go boarding, and due to huge winds the ski hill shut down by lunch. That wasn't the worst...the guys got stranded in the mountains because the roads also got shut down! The 5 girls did fine on their own, and luckily, Ehren had friends in a condo on the mountain that they managed to stayed with. Any hotel available (on the long weekend) was full, and the schools opened up for stranded travelers. The guys were lucky to have a bed and good company! It was quite a journey for them. All in all, we had a great time with Blain & Grace and look forward to seeing them all again in the summer.
The pregnancy has been going well. More and more difficult to keep up with the girls but pretty good nonetheless. We had an interesting evening on Feb. 20th when Janelle ended up in the hospital to stop contractions. Braxton Hicks have been a way of life since the 5th month, but these were a little out of control. She got a few medications, including steroids for the baby's lungs in case delivery was in the near future. At just under 33 weeks they managed to stop the contractions which were regular, every 2 minutes, and managed to cause her to dilate to 1.5 cm. Needless to say we're now on limited activity for a couple more weeks. We had an ultrasound last week which showed the baby to be at 4.5 lbs. which is on the smaller side. Things look good though so we continue to wait...
The last weekend in February Ehren played in a hockey tournament in Greeley, CO. His team made it to the finals but didn't quite pull off the win. It was some great competition and a fun team to play with, so he had a good time. Janelle and the girls made it to a couple of the games which was fun. They hadn't seen him play in a long time...and everyone in the room new that "Daddy was #10!
Lastly, we're getting bids for our backyard! Yay! Can't wait to get it done. We're aiming for early April if we can decide who we want to do the work...a tough decision!

February 2007
Well, we made it through the New Year and got Lana, Samuel, & Isabelle on their way back to Dubai. Life should've been back to normal then but we had several viruses pass through our family...Emily got hit the hardest. We had a couple weeks of no school or extra-curricular activities and we were all getting tired of it! :-) We managed to recuperate and life did go on...
One of the biggest hi-lights of the month is that we got our US citizenship on Jan. 17th, when we attended the "swear in" ceremony and became "official". We handed over the green cards which we've guarded to no end...and watched as they chucked them in a shoe box with hundreds of other resident cards! Wow, it almost hurt!! We now get to apply for our US passport and never have to worry about renewing our green cards again-yay!
On the 20th we took a trip to San Diego. We were gone a week and Ehren worked for 4 days of that. Janelle and the girls hadn't been back since the move 9 months ago so it was nice to see everyone and get in some good "playtime". We also made a trip to Disneyland in which the girls had a blast. We made it back just in time for the family to all get the stomach flu...not so nice.
That will be it for January and come the first week of February Ehren will be making another 3 day trip to San Diego for business. We're also in great anticipation of meeting our niece Faith for the first time when Blain & Grace come to visit this month! Not much else to report. The pregnancy is doing well and the belly is growing by the day at times! Can't wait to meet the little one!
January 2007
Well citizenship interviews went well...we both passed our exams with flying colors and are now just waiting for our date to be sworn in...the last and final step! It will be nice to have this under our belt and not worry about renewing our green cards! The rest of December was uneventful until the week of Christmas when we had record breaking snowfalls. We got snowed in for two days which closed even the airport...this threatened the ability of our company to arrive! Ugh! After 2 1/2 days the airport opened...6 hours after it opened our company was to arrive...which they did! Blair & Dar, Lana, Samuel, & Baby Isabelle (Ibelle as Jaelynn calls her) arrived on the 23rd.
Christmas was great. Along with the arrival of our "flying" company we also had Porky & Ann arrive by car Christmas Eve day. We ate well, opened plenty of gifts, and ate well again! :-) Santa was good to all, and above everything, it was great to have family together again.
Boxing Day Ehren took Emily, Blair, Deana and Jay skiing to a nearby hill. Emily had a great time and can't wait to go again. New Years Eve we went to Deana & Jay's for a fondue party which was a blast. Of course the chocolate fountain was the hit of the night :-) We had to leave a bit early because neither of our kids were wanting to sleep...and both of them were sick with colds. Needless to say we had a great time at the party and saw in the New Year (better than last year!). Most of our company is gone now and the Ait's leave on the 3rd.
