Well, we left San Diego on the 19th without selling our house. As for the move out to Colorado, well, the first part of the move has gone well! We are now residing in Henderson, CO with Deana and Jay and doing quite well. Darlene flew with Janelle and the girls and the next day Ehren and Blair arrived on wheels. It was an uneventful trip for all and we're now settled quite comfortably.
Four days after we arrived in CO we sold her house! We actually turned down one offer, accepted another, and then also found out there were two other parties that were going to write up offers! Looks like it was worth the wait! We got what we wanted out of our house and our temporary escrow close date is May 26th. Looks like it should be a clean deal and we'll have to get our stuff moved out soon. As for our Stones Peak house-it's coming along nicely! Janelle saw it for the first time right after we got here. The hardwood is done and they're starting with the tile this week. We should be getting our close date in the next week or so.
Janelle has assumed the "unemployed" status for a few months while things get settled and Ehren loves his job/co-workers-office in Boulder. He can't wait to get into our new house so his commute is shorter than it is now! As for extra-curricular...Ehren's been road biking with some guys from work and Janelle's been using D and Jay's "makeshift gym" in their basement...aside from walking the dog and getting the girls out to play! All in all we're adjusting well and Deana and Jay are doing a good job "tolerating" us!! :-)
Our newest addition to the family arrived last weekend...a 2006 Toyota Sienna! We love it and traded in the Explorer, so we should be good for another few years.
