Well we're starting to wind down for the school year...is that possible? April was filled with yet another Birthday (Evan) and lots of soccer, swim, gym, violin, and then yes...Ehren and I are starting to try and get training in for the summer season! April was a very busy month. We had company as well as Mom and Dad came through on their way up north for the summer. We enjoyed their company and they were very helpful in kid watching, kid running, kid sitting, etc. :-) We were fortunate to spend Easter with them this year...the first time in 5 years. It was nice to have them as well as the Landrigans here for Easter dinner. The bunbun was good to the kids and they got all the sweets they wanted and then some. :-) The main reason for Mom and Dad coming up at this particular time is that we were celebrating Ian's Baptism (nephew Ian). I was asked to be his Godmother so I had the privilege of being part of the celebration. Yay Ian!
This month we took in an important violin recital for the girls. It was a benefit recital for children with cleft lips/palates. The money the Suzuki strings raised far exceeded their goal of about $2500. They actually raised about 3 times what they set as their goal! The songs were great and the kids had a great time. Their favorite song was "It's A Small World"...mine..."Star Wars"!!
Ehren and I have been busy trying to get in some more of the outdoor sports once again. Ehren is now back to playing hockey and we're both still swimming...but we've been trying to also get in more biking and running. The weather hasn't co-operated much as the weekends have been very windy and not so warm. May will hopefully bring more luck! Bolder Boulder is coming up so we have to get a few more running miles in!!
We decided to part with a long time piece of the family this month. Ehren sold his Honda and bought a Subaru WRX. Evan is in love with the car...yes, I did say Evan. :-) He likes "speed" and the four tail pipes. :-) Unfortunately, I don't think the Civic has been missed much. :-)
Not much else to say for April. It flew by and I'm sure May will too. Gosh, where does the time go??
